PointsHoarder 12: Just how do we book these mileage runs!?

October 4, 2012

Episode 12 of the PointsHoarder podcast is all about earning points. We’re talking about a couple different mileage runs, one that Seth booked to Hawaii for dinner and one that Fozz booked home from Myanmar in first class. Those are the specific trips but the real meat is in the details we discuss, particularly about using ITA’s Matrix, the gold standard for flight search and pricing. There is very little it cannot do given the correct encouragement. And we’ve got all the details on just how to push its buttons.

We’ve also got some news, including United taking delivery of their first 787 Dreamliner and oneworld adding a new partner that no one is quite sure about (though plenty of rumors are swirling). Oh, and Emirates wants another 40 A380s in their fleet, though they don’t know where to put them.

Length: 36 minutes

Hi guys. You mentioned adding the FlyerTalk Mileage Run Deals to your feed reader. I couldn’t figure out how to do that.

When I added http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mileage-run-deals-372/ to Google Reader it grabbed everything from FlyerTalk.

    Thanks!

  2. Definitely interested in learning more about paper vs e-tickets—both past and present.
