We’re wrapping up 2025 with a bit of nostalgia, and a few quirky news stories, too.

Winter weather is giving the industry some troubles, but there’s still plenty of hot news to discuss..

DLD 447: Too much red

- Tagged as: 737 MAX, 787-10, 787-9, A350-1000, Aer Lingus, Airbus, American Airlines, Atlantic Airways, Avios, Boeing, China, El Al, elite status, FAA, Faroe Islands, Federal Aviation Administration, Finnair, frequent flier, frequent flyer, jetblue, merger, Monarch, Porter Air, Qantas, revenue-based, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, Trip Report
How much money can a one-plane airline lose in just two months? More than just about everyone involved expected.
Two nice implementations of indigenous themes and art from airlines announced this week, and the impact for passengers is pretty good, too.
DLD 423: Are you aware??

Hydrogen is flying, at least on one engine. And that’s way better for awareness than some of the other stuff we’ve seen lately.
DLD 422: Meh

We wanted to be excited. We wanted to celebrate a new and innovative product. Alas, the newly announced F/J for Qantas is not it.
How does just one out of service plane cause so much trouble for a major airline?? But it worked mostly in our favor, so no complaints this time around.
